Technical Assessments
By joining the Fort Collins Climate Wise Program, businesses will receive free technical assistance in identifying, implementing, measuring, and reporting actions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Step 1. On-Site Assessment
The purpose of the on-site assessment is to identify specific steps that your business can take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency, pollution prevention, solid waste reduction, or travel reduction. The Climate Wise team would either conduct the assessment for you, or help to broker a free assessment from other programs for which your business may be eligible, such as the Colorado State University Industrial Assessment Center or the state of Colorado's Pollution Prevention Program.
Step 2. Select Projects to Implement and Create An Action Plan
Although partners are ultimately responsible for which projects they choose to implement, the Climate Wise team is available to help partners enter the project commitments into on-line forms and create the required Action Plan.
Step 3. Monitor Progress and Submit an Annual Report
Similar to the Action Plan forms, Climate Wise team members can assist you with completing your annual report.
General Technical Assistance and Implementation Support
The Climate Wise team includes expertise in energy efficiency, solid waste reduction and recycling, pollution prevention, and travel reduction. Think of the team as a resource for any general questions or technical assistance with implementing your Climate Wise projects.
