Engineering Department#
The City of Fort Collins Engineering Department consists of 35 employees and provides a full range of civil engineering services, with a primary focus on transportation infrastructure projects. From master planning, survey and design; to construction management, project inspection and asset management. Engineering provides total project management capabilities. The City’s Engineering Department also serves as the community’s right-of-way manager and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, development project plan approval, construction inspection for all new streets and utilities, the Transportation Capital Expansion Fee Program and maintenance, repair and upgrade of bridges and railroad crossings to name a few. The same services are also offered to Larimer County and the Colorado Department of Transportation for projects within the Fort Collins Growth Management Area (GMA).
