The Fort Collins Regional Library District offers several free computer classes, to the public, to promote information literacy. The classes cover computer basics, electronic communication, the Library website, Internet searching, and Microsoft Office. Handouts for each class are available by clicking on the links (e.g. Word handout) in each section.
Handouts are particularly valuable for patrons who have missed out on a place in a particular course, as well as for patrons wishing to refresh their memory, of skills learned in class.
Spring 2009 computer classes
Classes are 1.5 hours in length unless specified otherwise.

In this two-part class you will sign up for a free Internet e-mail account using Yahoo!, and then learn how to check your e-mail, send messages, and reply to messages. In the second class you will learn about sending and downloading attachments, working with folders, saving drafts, and using the address book. Computer Comfort class is strongly recommended before taking this class if you are new to computers. Free and open to the public. You MUST have an active Yahoo! email account to attend the advanced (2nd part) class. Registration REQUIRED.
