How REACH Works

Longs Peak Energy Conservation (a division of Boulder County Housing Authority) offers REACH services through a partnership with Fort Collins Utilities.

  • Professionally trained technicians use computerized energy audits and advanced diagnostic equipment (single-family, multi-family and mobile homes included) to determine the most cost-effective weatherization services.
  • Special attention is paid to air infiltration, pressure imbalances and areas of heat loss.
  • Technicians also evaluate health and safety conditions, such as carbon monoxide hazards, gas leaks and moisture problems.

A whole-house approach is used to determine the most effective weatherization services.

Who is Eligible

To qualify, households must:

  • be within Fort Collins city limits;
  • not qualify for other government-sponsored weatherization programs; and
  • not exceed annual income guidelines (add $3,430 for each additional family member).

For more information, call Longs Peak Energy Conservation, (800) 200-9006.
