City Council Timeline 2005 

March 1: At their meeting, Council approved a new provision dealing with Nuisance Gatherings.  View the Agenda Item Summary.
March 8: Council Study Session on 3-Unrelated Ordinance direction and economic and market study findings.  View the Agenda Item Summary.
April 26: Council Study Session to further discuss 3-Unrelated Ordinance direction.  (The newly elected City Council will be in place at this time).
 

How Did We Get Here?

  1. The quality of life in residential neighborhoods has continued to be a subject of increasing concern throughout Fort Collins.
  2. Council has been formally meeting about these issues since January, 2004.
  3. The City recognizes the problem and has a responsibility to address the needs of citizens.

  • Noise and nuisance behavior
  • Appearance/maintenance of property
  • Parking requirements
  • Occupancy (number of people per unit)
  • Health and safety of tenants
  • Accountability of property owner, manager, and/or tenant
