Tree Trimming for Safety

Never touch a tree limb or other object in contact with an electric line. If you notice tree limbs, broken branches or an object touching or hanging from a power line, immediately contact Fort Collins Utilities at (970) 221-6710 and a crew member will clear the line.

Fort Collins Utilities is responsible for keeping tree limbs away from overhead power lines. By regulation, Utilities can trim trees on private property to maintain proper clearance of individual lines.
