Description

The title of the painting is “Catz Scape”. My design shows the “Catz” having fun in the city. They are hanging out in their indubitable cat way, bragging about how beautiful and smart they are and at the same time being silly running around and up and down the buildings. For these “Catz”, hanging out involves a lot of sleeping, resting, and waiting for a human to come entertain them on the piano. I decided on this theme because I love to draw all the different kinds of Catz and, although they are not big dancers, they provide a lighthearted theme for a Painted Piano.

Many people (including this artist) have or have had cats and I think the public will connect to the theme. There are lots of different kinds of cats and we can agree that they (especially our own!) are beautiful, silly, and smart. I think that there will be piano players who will oblige both the cats and cat lovers by entertaining them on the Painted Piano.
