Description

This collaborative APP project, made possible by the generous donation of tile by Dal-Tile in Loveland, included Preston Junior High School, Traut Core Knowledge, and artist Jim Lynxwiler. Designed to incorporate art into Harmony Park in southeast Fort Collins, the students and artist created designs for tile mosaic inserts to be set into the concrete walkways near the teaching circles. The concept of "Harmony" was used as a guiding principle for the students participating in the project, with themes such as passage, astronomy, ethnicity, artistic composition, nature, and sound, for each mosaic panel.
