Description

This mural pays homage to Henry's home of Fort Collins. His hope is that his art expresses an appreciation for nature and a yearning for human connection. With this mural specifically, he wants to bring attention to the natural beauty of Northern Colorado, while also paying homage to a town and community that has had an incredible impact on his life. He used a conglomerate of circles as the borders to signify how this town and its people are connected through the arts and nature.

Depicted here, are some of his favorite natural attractions; Arthur's Rock, a swimming hole on the Poudre, Satanka Cove, Orchard cove, and Horsetooth Rock. Also depicted, are some of his favorite parts of town; the Aggie Theater, Alley Cat, the Spirit of Fort Collins fountain, CSU’s Perennial Gardens, and the College Avenue Christmas lights. He loves the people that congregate in all these areas.

Henry loves to create in a variety of mediums. He uses art to convey the beauty he sees in this world and the deeper feelings that he can't find words for. He recently graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Fashion Design and Entrepreneurship, focused on making upcycled bags with zero waste. While he has no idea where this creative journey will go, he is excited to pursue murals because it would be an incredible feeling to see his art as a part of communal areas—hopefully brightening somebody's day as seeing public art does for him.
