Description

The woodblock-style of Chloe's mural serves not only as a homage to the technique's inherent significance but also as a metaphor for leaving a permanent mark on the world around us. Growing up in Fort Collins, she has marveled at the delicate yet resilient balance of our region's flora. Throughout her life, her love for plants, particularly the expressive beauty of flowers, has remained constant. For the design, she explored the abundant flowers that flourish in our region, ultimately selecting four distinct varieties for inclusion in her design: Golden Banner, Blanketflower, Blue Flax, and Pasqueflower. She chose these flowers not only for their visual allure but also for the emotions and sentiments their colors and structures evoke. Bright and vibrant hues have the power to transport the viewer to a place of joy and vitality unique to their experience.

Chloe Cochran is a Fort Collins born-and-raised Graphic Designer and Multimedia-Artist. She is passionate about people, art, nature, growth and development, and I find much of her creative inspiration from plants, water, and movement. She graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Visual Communication/Graphic Design and Strategic Communication/Advertising (her love of Flagstaff is a close second to Fort Collins)!
