Description

Katie’s design, Native Flower Power, is made up of several native plants—columbine, flax, lilac, and raspberry—to represent her hometown of Fort Collins. Repeating forms echo a patterned wallpaper.

Katie is an interdisciplinary artist, whose current work focuses on acrylic paintings. She earned her Master of Arts in 2019 from the University of Northern Colorado. Katie’s work investigates the subjectivity of beauty and memory within a singular moment. Her current body of work explores a handmade aesthetic versus that of the prefabricated, or mass produced.
