Description

Experience a new view as you cross the bridge entering Fort Collins on E. Prospect Road.

"Pods and Blooms" is a site-specific entryway installation sited on E. Prospect Road.  The installation consists of four sculptures.  One large sculpture is installed at the Eastern edge of the new bridge, a second sculpture supports it on the Western side (the two large sculptures are shown above). A smaller sculpture is sited at the entrance to each of the two nearby Natural Area parking lots, Riverbend Ponds and Running Deer.  The two parking area elements or markers are smaller sculptures that are thematically tied to the bridge sculptures.  All four sculptures were inspired by the natural environment and are derived from local seed-like forms and colors, and include elements that shimmer in the breeze.
