Ripple Effects
- Artist
- Robert Tully
- Year
- 1998
- Location
- Timberline Rd. S. of Mulberry
- Description
-
Covering a little more than an acre on the east side of Timberline at Mulberry Street, "Ripple Effects" is made of three parts: earth mounds seeded with prairie grasses and shaped like concentric circular water ripples; a stone bench at the center of the ripples reached by a path; and stone masonry retaining walls that rise up and down. According to Tully, the "Ripple Effects" is based on the concept that the smallest action by people has effects on nature and culture that ripple throughout time.
