Colorado's Sunshine Song and Nighttime Lullaby

Artist
Katelynn Mai-Fusco
Year
2023
Description

As a Colorado native, Katelynn grew up spending her days and nights in the Rocky Mountains. Sounds of the rivers, birds, snakes, and movement of wind through the trees became her hallelujah song. She wants this mural to be the visual representation of that song.

Katelynn grew up with a gentle woodworking Father and a strong creative Mother. She was deeply molded by summer evenings spent camping on the Poudre River. She attended the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, and received her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. This was her launch pad into her journey as a professional artist.

She eventually moved to New York City and attended Pratt Institute for her Masters in Fine Art. This time spent in the city gave her a unique perspective of the art world and the impact it has on society. She realized through her time there that she wanted her art to be interactive and create a space for healing.
