The legend of the walking crow invades my swirling paint pours and thinking. The American Indian heritage yearns to protect the lands and air. Its beauty lives for all to enjoy. The red crow represents man whom walks the land and breathes the air. The deep greens, yellows, blues and gold pours represent the land and lake masses. The background grey is the sky and the clean white is our shared air.
This mural has been influenced by the struggle in the West to protect the lands and water. I'm
fascinated by the graphic iconic art of the American Indians in this region. The circles will be made with laser-cut stencils, but smaller than portrayed in the design. (The grey spaces are smaller for anti-graffiti reasons.) The grey used will be a 40% (on a scale from 0-100 /100 is black. This is to combat heat gain.) The paint pours are simulated.
