Tres Colonias Neighborhood Art Projects#
There are two exciting Art in Public Places projects going on in the Tres Colonias Neighborhoods!
One is the Vine and Lemay Overpass and the other is an upcoming community-based gateway art project at Lemay Ave. and 9th St.
Vine and Lemay Overpass#
The proposed Vine and Lemay Overpass public art project was promoted to artists residing within a 70- mile radius of Fort Collins. Boulder artist Joshua Wiener worked with the Vine & Lemay Project Team to develop art concepts that accentuate the new overpass and the views it creates of the surrounding landscape. The design includes ten three-dimensional sculptures along the roadway.
Neighborhood Stormwater Area#
A second site for artwork serves as a gateway to the Tres Colonias neighborhoods and the Vine & Lemay Overpass. The site for the artwork is the stormwater detention pond located at the corner of 9th St. and Lemay Ave.
