Brighten the Night FREE Bike Light & Light Bulb Giveaway#

Image with the night sky and the words 'Brighten the Night' on it.

The time change is happening soon, and the days are getting shorter. Now is a great time to make sure you're visible while riding during low light times. People riding bikes are required by law to have a white front light and red rear reflector - a red rear light is even better!

Wednesday, October 30, from 4 to 6 p.m., FC Moves will be handing free bike light sets, and reflective shoelaces and zipper pulls. Fort Collins Utilities will also be on hand giving out free LED lightbulbs and talking about affordability programs and making your home more efficient!

There are two locations to choose from:

  • Spring Canyon Park: accessible via the Spring Creek Trail and Horsetooth Rd.
  • Walk and Wheel Skills Hub: 1600 W Drake Rd., accessible via the Spring Creek Trail and Drake Rd.

Stop by anytime during the event! We'll be out as long as supplies last.

All other e-devices or motorized devices (such as e-scooters and e-skateboards) are not allowed to be operated on the City's Parks and Natural Areas trails.

We would like to know if you've experienced a near-miss or a safety concern related to electric assist bicycles or other e-devices on Fort Collins' paved trails. Please use the link below to submit this information using Access Fort Collins.  If you have been involved in a crash or if this is an emergency, please contact Fort Collins Police Services.
