AMC Negotiations - Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Am I at risk of losing the AMC Networks?

A: Our contract with AMC runs through May 1st, so there is no risk of losing the networks before this date. If AMC is truly concerned about their viewers’ best interest, they will complete a fair agreement with us with a reasonable fee so we can continue offering their networks, in which case there will be no disruption.

Q: If these networks are removed, when will they be back?

A: If AMC removes the signals, we will continue to negotiate on your behalf to return the channels to your line-up as quickly as possible, but we won’t be pressured by them into accepting an unfair agreement that will significantly impact your monthly bill.

Q: I pay a lot for my TV service. Can’t you use that money to pay for this increase?

A: Rising programming costs – like the one that AMC Networks is demanding – affect ALL TV providers and increases your bill. We absorb as much of these increases as possible but are not able to cover all of them. We strive to keep future price increases to a minimum by negotiating hard for you with all networks.
