Major impact: Laporte fully closed at Meldrum until Aug. 1
Laporte Avenue is fully closed to all traffic at Meldrum Street until Friday, August 1 due to a sewer line replacement beneath the roadway.
- Westbound traffic on Laporte detours onto Sherwood Street to Maple Street or Mountain Avenue
- Eastbound traffic on Laporte detours onto Mason Street to Maple Street or Mountain Avenue
Major impact: Southbound Timberline fully closed between Vine and Mulberry/Lincoln June 16-20
Southbound Timberline Road will be fully closed between Vine Drive and Donella Court (just north of Mulberry Street and Lincoln Avenue) from Monday, June 16 through Friday, June 20 for asphalt repair. Northbound Timberline will remain open during the closure.
Traffic needing to access any destination along Timberline between Vine and Donella Court should do so via Mulberry or Lincoln during the closure, leveraging the northbound lane of Timberline.
Southbound traffic on Timberline will be detoured to Lemay Avenue or the I-25 Frontage Road via Vine, and then onto Mulberry.
Major impact: Spring Creek Trail fully closed beneath Timberline June 16-20
The Spring Creek Trail will be fully closed from Monday, June 16 through Friday, June 20 for a creek cleanup. All trail traffic will be detoured via nearby paved paths to the sidewalk on the south side of Prospect Road during the closure, and can leverage the crosswalk at the intersection of Prospect and Timberline to cross Timberline.
Major impact: Northbound Timberline fully closed between Mulberry/Lincoln and Vine June 23-27
Northbound Timberline Road will be fully closed between Donella Court (just north of Mulberry Street and Lincoln Avenue) and Vine Drive from Monday, June 23 through Friday, June 27 for asphalt repair. Southbound Timberline will remain open during the closure.
Traffic needing to access any destination along Timberline between Donella Court and Vine should do so via Vine during the closure, leveraging the southbound lane of Timberline.
Northbound traffic on Timberline will be detoured to Lemay Avenue or the I-25 Frontage Road via Mulberry, and then onto Vine.
Major impact: Trilby fully closed at College Avenue from until Spring 2026
Trilby Road will be fully closed to traffic at College Avenue (U.S. Highway 287) beginning Monday, July 7, 2025 and lasting until Spring 2026 while the City reconstructs and improves the intersection of College/U.S. Highway 287 and Trilby. Traffic traveling on Trilby between Shields Street and Lemay Avenue will have no access to College/U.S. Highway 287 during this closure.
- All traffic on Trilby needing to travel east/west across College/U.S. Highway 287 will be detoured to Harmony Road via Shields or Lemay
- All eastbound traffic on Trilby needing to travel north on College/U.S. Highway 287 will detour via Lemay and Harmony to reach College/U.S. Highway 287
- All eastbound traffic on Trilby needing to travel south on College/U.S. Highway 287 will detour via Lemay and Carpenter Road (State Highway 392) to reach U.S Highway 287
- All westbound traffic on Trilby needing to travel north on College/U.S. Highway 287 will detour via Shields and Harmony to reach College/U.S. Highway 287
- All westbound traffic on Trilby needing to travel south on College/U.S. Highway 287 will detour via Shields and West 57th Street in Loveland to reach U.S. Highway 287
A temporary traffic signal will be available at the intersection of Triangle Drive and U.S. Highway 287 to facilitate safe access between U.S. Highway 287 and the Ridgewood Hills neighborhood during this closure.
Two lanes of traffic in each direction (northbound and southbound) will remain open on College/U.S. Highway 287 during this closure.

Northwest Fort Collins#
Here’s a look at what projects are active in Northwest Fort Collins (west of College Avenue, north of Drake Road) this month:
Laporte fully closed at Meldrum until Aug. 1
Laporte Avenue is fully closed to all traffic at Meldrum Street until Friday, August 1 due to a sewer line replacement beneath the roadway.
- Westbound traffic on Laporte detours onto Sherwood Street to Maple Street or Mountain Avenue
- Eastbound traffic on Laporte detours onto Mason Street to Maple Street or Mountain Avenue
Meldrum Street fully closed from Mountain to Maple June 9-Sept. 1
Meldrum Street will be fully closed to traffic from Mountain Avenue to Maple Street from Monday, June 9 through Monday, Sept. 1 for utility work. Traffic will be able to cross the closure on Laporte Avenue during the work after Aug. 1. The section of the closure between Mountain and Laporte is expected to reopen by Aug. 1, pending the speed of the project.
Oak Street, Meldrum Street impacted by Oak Street Stormwater Improvements
West Oak Street will experience closures between South Meldrum Street and South Washington Avenue as a part of the City's Oak Street Stormwater Improvements project, replacing critical stormwater infrastructure beneath the roadway. Closures will vary based on work progress.
Virginia Dale Drive, Overland Park parking lot impacted by utility work
The 2800-3000 blocks of Virginia Dale Drive, including the parking lot at Overland Park, will be impacted by utility work related to Fort Collins-Loveland Water District's Western Backbone Project between March and July. During this time portions of the Overland Park parking lot will be used for construction equipment staging and storage.

Stover, Smith, Whedbee, and Mathews Streets will be closed at Laurel during the work. Peterson Street will remain open to north/south traffic.
Doctors Lane closed at Lemay June 23-25, July 3
Doctors Lane will be fully closed at Lemay from Monday, June 23 through Wednesday, June 25 as well as on Thursday, July 3, due to construction at UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital. Traffic will be detoured to Elizabeth Street and Hospital Lane during the closures.
Eastbound Laurel fully closed between Remington and Stover June 25-27
Eastbound Laurel Street will be fully closed to traffic between Remington Street and Stover Street from Wednesday, June 25 through Friday, June 27 for repaving. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to Plum Street during the closure.
Stover, Smith, Whedbee, and Mathews Streets will be closed at Laurel during the work. Peterson Street will remain open to north/south traffic.

Southeast Fort Collins#
Here’s a look at what projects are active in Southeast Fort Collins (east of College Avenue, south of Drake Road) this month:
Power Trail closed between Keenland and Trilby
The Power Trail is closed to all traffic between Keenland Drive and the intersection of East Trilby Road and Southridge Greens Boulevard due to the construction of the new Siphon Overpass, which will connect the Power Trail with the newly opened Mail Creek Trail in Summer 2025 via an overpass over the Union Pacific Railroad. The Power Trail will reopen when construction is complete in August 2025. Bicycle traffic using the Power Trail should use Keenland Drive, Lemay Avenue, and Southridge Greens Boulevard during the closure.

McClelland closed from Drake to Horsetooth Sunday, June 15
McClelland Drive will be fully closed to traffic between West Drake Road and West Horsetooth Road on Sunday, June 15 for street maintenance. All traffic will be detoured to South College Avenue during the closure; West Swallow Road will remain open at McClelland during the work.
Construction resuming at the intersection of College and Trilby
The City will resume construction at the intersection of South College Avenue (U.S. Highway 287) and Trilby Road in March. Specific construction impacts will be updated here when available
Northbound Shields experiencing lane closures between Horsetooth and Drake
Northbound Shields Street will experience lane closures between West Horsetooth Road and West Drake Road during summer 2025 due to natural gas utility work by Xcel Energy.

College/Drake Intersection Improvements
The City is currently in the design stage of improvements to the College and Drake intersection. This project may begin construction in 2026.

The City of Fort Collins and Midtown Business Improvement District are partnering to reimagine S. College Avenue in Midtown.
Power Trail at Harmony Road

West Elizabeth Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)
