Northwest Fort Collins#
Oak Street, Meldrum Street impacted by Oak Street Stormwater Improvements
West Oak Street will experience closures between South Howes Street and South Loomis Street as a part of the City's Oak Street Stormwater Improvements project, replacing critical stormwater infrastructure beneath the roadway. Closures will vary based on work progress.
Laporte impacted by lane shifts west of Taft Hill
Laporte Avenue is experiencing lane shifts west of North Taft Hill Road due to active construction related to the City's Laporte Corridor Improvements project. All traffic should follow warning signs and exercise caution in the work area.

Southeast Fort Collins#
Harmony to experience periodic lane closures between College and Timberline in March
East Harmony Road will experience periodic lane closures between South College Avenue and South Timberline Road during March for concrete repair work (related to Harmony Road Work) and utility relocations (related to Power Trail Harmony Crossing). Lanes may be reduced on this stretch of Harmony during work; Harmony will remain open to traffic and all access to businesses will be maintained.
Power Trail closed between Keenland and Trilby
The Power Trail is closed to all traffic between Keenland Drive and the intersection of East Trilby Road and Southridge Greens Boulevard due to the construction of the new Siphon Overpass, which will connect the Power Trail with the newly opened Mail Creek Trail in Summer 2025 via an overpass over the Union Pacific Railroad. The Power Trail will reopen when construction is complete in August 2025. Bicycle traffic using the Power Trail should use Keenland Drive, Lemay Avenue, and Southridge Greens Boulevard during the closure.
Lane closures on Ziegler between Harmony and Kechter beginning March 10
Lane closures will occur on Ziegler Road between East Harmony Road and Kechter Road beginning Monday, March 10, weather permitting, while the City completes concrete repairs as a part of the Street Maintenance Program (SMP). Work is expected to last 2-3 weeks. Access to businesses will be maintained.
Boardwalk Drive closed at Harmony March 20-25
Boardwalk Drive will be fully closed to traffic at East Harmony Road from Thursday, March 20 to Tuesday, March 25 while Fort Collins-Loveland Water District performs utility work beneath the roadway. Detours will be in place during the closure; all access to businesses will be maintained.
Harmony fully closed at Boardwalk Drive March 22-23
The intersection of East Harmony Road and Boardwalk Drive will be fully closed to all traffic Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23 to allow Fort Collins-Loveland Water District to replace critical water infrastructure beneath the intersection. Detours will be updated here in advance of the closure.
Westbound Harmony closed at JFK March 22-23
Westbound Harmony Road will be closed at John F. Kennedy Parkway Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23 while crews complete concrete repairs. Westbound traffic on Harmony will be directed onto northbound John F. Kennedy Parkway; eastbound traffic on Harmony will remain open and be reduced to one lane through the intersection. Traffic is advised to use Horsetooth Road instead of Harmony for east/west travel to avoid impacts March 22-23.
Lane closures at Harmony and JFK March 24-26
Lane closures will be in place at the intersection of Harmony Road and John F. Kennedy Parkway Monday, March 24 - Wednesday, March 26 while crews complete asphalt repairs.
Construction resuming at the intersection of College and Trilby
The City will resume construction at the intersection of South College Avenue (U.S. Highway 287) and Trilby Road in March. Specific construction impacts will be updated here when available

Future Projects#

College/Drake Intersection Improvements
The City is currently in the design stage of improvements to the College and Drake intersection. This project may begin construction in 2026.

Midtown BID Corridor Improvements
The City of Fort Collins and Midtown Business Improvement District are partnering to reimagine S. College Avenue in Midtown.

Power Trail at Harmony Road
The City of Fort Collins is conducting a Pedestrian and Bicycle Grade-Separated Prioritization Study

Taft Hill Corridor Improvements- Horsetooth to Harmony
The City of Fort Collins and Larimer County are partnering to improve Taft Hill Road from W. Horsetooth Road continuing through Harmony Road.

Timberline/Lincoln/Mulberry Intersection
The City of Fort Collins is working on improvements to the Timberline Road and Lincoln Avenue intersection.

West Elizabeth Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)
The West Elizabeth Corridor BRT project (CSU to Overland Trail) aims to enhance critical public transportation services and safety/accessibility improvements along the route.
