FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The City of Fort Collins will begin an asphalt overlay project on Centre Ave. between W. Prospect Rd. and S. Shields St. beginning Monday, June 24, weather permitting. This project will also include an asphalt overlay effort on Research Blvd. and Worthington Ave. between Centre Ave. and W. Drake Rd., and is being completed as a part of a larger corridor improvement project for Centre.

Work is expected to last 14 days with a week break during the 4th of July week, and will have the following impacts to traffic:

• Phase 1: Centre Ave. will be closed to eastbound traffic between Worthington Cir. and Bay Dr. Westbound traffic will remain open during this time.
• Phase 2: Research Blvd. will be closed to southbound traffic between Centre Ave. and W. Drake Rd. Northbound traffic will remain open during this time.
• Phase 3: Worthington Ave. will be closed to northbound traffic between W. Drake Rd. and Centre Ave. Southbound traffic will remain open during this time.
• Phase 4: Centre Ave. will be closed to westbound traffic between Bay Dr. and Worthington Cir. Eastbound traffic will remain open during this time.
• Phase 5: Research Blvd. will be closed to Northbound traffic between W. Drake Rd. and Centre Ave. Southbound traffic will remain open during this time.
• Phase 6: Worthington Ave. will be closed to Southbound traffic between Centre Ave. and W. Drake Rd. Northbound traffic will remain open during this time.

Drivers should be aware of the closures and follow posted detours. Bicycles should follow posted detours. Sidewalks will remain open to pedestrians during the project. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained except when we are working directly in front of driveways, with some delay until access can be reestablished.

This asphalt overlay effort is part of the City of Fort Collins Street Maintenance Program.

Work Zone Information

Typical working hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., however work may occur outside these times if needed. Alternate routes are suggested to avoid the construction zone.
