Re: Oak Street Stormwater Project Kick off. Full Closure on Oak St between Mason and Meldrum, Beginning July 8th

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Fort Collins Utilities’ Oak Street Stormwater Improvements Project will begin construction to install stormwater infrastructure that will help to resolve flooding issues in downtown Fort Collins, beginning July 8th. The whole project extends from Mason St. to City Park, with construction beginning between Mason St and Meldrum St. There will be a full closure on Oak St. between Mason and Meldrum, however those intersections will remain open. The pedestrian crosswalks across Oak St will remain open, with the understanding that potential closures may occur depending on construction tasks.

Crews will be conducting work between the hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, with work continuing to be done on Saturdays in September. This portion of the project has an anticipated completion date of December 31st (weather permitting).
