The City of Fort Collins will host an information session for anyone considering running for a City elected office on Wednesday, April 2 at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 300 Laporte Ave.

In November, all Fort Collins voters will elect a mayor, and voters in Districts 1, 3 and 5 will elect City Council representatives.

The information session is an opportunity for potential candidates to learn more and ask questions about the City, the roles and responsibilities of a Councilmember, the process to become a candidate, and election timelines and requirements. It will also include information about ranked voting, which will be used for the first time on the November 2025 ballot in any race with three or more candidates.
