The City of Fort Collins is joining the National Recreation & Park Association in celebrating Parks & Recreation Month this July. From monthlong challenges to community-wide special events, the Fort Collins Parks and Recreation departments are hosting a wide range of dynamic, fun activities for the whole family.
This special month is about celebrating the power of togetherness and the lasting impact of parks and recreation in the Fort Collins community. Scheduled events include an ongoing scavenger hunt at The Farm, a Try-o-thon at Edora Pool Ice Center where participants can try ice skating and aquatic activities, an outdoor movie screening at Heritage Park and more! Plus, join us for our annual Kids in the Park event at Twin Silo Community Park on July 25, where community members are encouraged to get outside and play with activities, food trucks and live music.
“Parks and Recreation Month is a chance to celebrate the spaces and programs that bring people together and make Fort Collins such a vibrant, connected community,” said Dean Klingner, Director of Community Services, which includes both the Park and Recreation Departments. “Whether you’re discovering a new activity or enjoying a favorite park with friends and family, we hope everyone finds a meaningful way to participate.”
