FORT COLLINS, Colo. – City of Fort Collins public transportation operator Transfort announced today a new advertising program with Street Media Group. Street Media Group will now market and sell advertising spaces across Transfort’s buses, bus stop shelters and benches under a multi-year agreement.
The five-year contract provides Street Media Group access to over 448 advertising spaces within the Transfort system. These spaces include 39 buses, 224 shelters and 121 benches, strategically located to offer advertisers broad exposure and high-frequency visibility.
“We’re excited to offer this new platform for local and regional businesses to connect with consumers,” Assistant Director of Transfort Annabelle Phillips said. “This program supports both our financial goals and community engagement efforts while offering businesses and organizations a unique opportunity to reach a wide and diverse audience.”
The agreement marks Transfort’s return to a commercial advertising model after a multi-year pause. The program is expected to generate approximately $277,000 in its first year, with increasing revenues in subsequent years, helping to fund critical transit services such as fleet maintenance and capital improvements.
As part of the agreement Transfort updated its advertising policy to ensure responsible content. Advertisements related to alcohol, cannabis, firearms, tobacco and other specified topics will be prohibited. View the full policy at ridetransfort.com/advertise-on-transfort.
Transfort will continue to manage bus stop amenities, including snow removal, without impacting service levels or accessibility.
