FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The City of Fort Collins will begin an asphalt paving project on W. Mulberry St. from City Park Ave. to S. Shields St. and City Park Ave. from W. Myrtle St. to W. Mulberry St. beginning Monday, June 10, weather permitting.

Work is expected to last five days, and will have the following impacts to road traffic:

  • Directional closures on Mulberry, closing the road to either westbound or eastbound traffic
    • Phase 1: Mulberry will be closed to westbound traffic between Shields to City Park Ave. (impacting the Magnolia Bikeway). Eastbound traffic will remain open during this time.
    • Phase 2: Mulberry will be closed to eastbound traffic between City Park Ave. and Shields (impacting the Magnolia Bikeway). Westbound traffic will remain open during this time.
  • Full closure of City Park Ave. between Mulberry and Myrtle (impacting the City Park Bikeway)

Vehicle traffic on Mulberry should be aware of the closures, changing traffic patterns, and follow posted detours during the week of June 10-14. Drivers may use Laporte and W. Elizabeth St. during the work to avoid delays to east-west traffic.

Bicycle traffic on the City Park and Magnolia Bikeways should cross Mulberry using the signaled crossing at S. Bryan Ave. during this work period.

Sidewalks will remain open to pedestrians.

Access to residences and businesses will be maintained except when we are working directly in front of driveways, with some delay until access can be reestablished.

This asphalt paving effort is part of the City of Fort Collins Street Maintenance Program.
