***Original Press Release***

On October 19, 2024 at approximately 02:56 am, Fort Collins Police received a call regarding multiple shots fired in the 400 block of Butch Cassidy Drive. While officers were responding, they were made aware that dispatch had received a call from an individual reporting they were shot and were in a vehicle at a different location. Officers responded to both the location of that vehicle and where the shooting occurred. When officers arrived at the vehicle, they discovered an adult male with one gunshot wound, and bullet holes in the vehicle. This male was transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries, but is expected to survive.

The investigation to this point revealed that there was a party at a residence in the 400 block of Butch Cassidy Drive when a physical disturbance broke out and the shooting occurred.

Detectives are still following up on leads and actively investigating this case. At this time though, they believe that this is an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

“We have multiple detectives investigating this case, and will work to not only find answers for those involved, but to hold those responsible, accountable for their actions,” said Fort Collins Police Crimes Against Persons Sergeant Randy Klamser.
