In Planning & Development Services, we work with the community to develop policy plans to guide the future of Fort Collins. We use these policy plans to write code. We use these codes to regulate development.

When we are fully staffed, our group is made up of around:
- 4 Planners specializing in Long-range Planning,
- 7 Planners specializing in Development Review Planning,
- 4 Planners specializing in Environmental Planning (long-range and development review).
- 1 Neighborhood Liaison,
- 4 Development Review Coordinators,
- 7 Zoning Inspectors,
- 2 Administrative staff,
- A Development Review Manager, and a Planning Manager overseeing us all.
