Notes

Flora of North America recognizes four varieties of T. acaulis, all native to the U.S. and Colorado. They all vary slightly in appearance. Varieties epunctata and arizonica only occur on the west slope and varieties caespitosa and acaulis occur on both sides of the continental divide. Great in rock gardens.
