Notes
Flora of North America lists two subspecies of B. maritimus. This subspecies is native to Colorado and most of the U.S., subspecies maritimus was likely introduced from Europe. Great plant for wetland areas that are alkaline.
This is an important larval food host for many of our native invertebrates.
