Notes

Flora of North America recognizes ten varieties of E. ovalifolium, all native to the western half of the U.S. Varieties ovalifolium (west slope) and purpureum (east and west slope) are both native to Colorado. They vary in the color of flower; variety ovalifolium has cream, white or yellowish flowers and variety purpureum has white, rose, or purple-colored flowers.

Great for rock gardens.
