Notes
Flora of North America recognizes three subspecies of P. deltoides, all native to the U.S. Subspecies deltoides is native to the eastern U.S. Subspecies monilifera and wislizenii are both native to Colorado; monilifera is found on the east slope and wislizenii on the west.
Can be a messy plant in the landscape and is best not planted close to buildings. This species will draw many bird species to it.
