N. Roosevelt Ave. between Maple St. and Cherry St., as well as Cherry St. between Lyons St. and N. Roosevelt Ave., will be closed to traffic from Tuesday, Sept. 3 - Friday, Nov. 29 in order for the City to replace a sewer main. This closure impacts the City Park Neighborhood Bikeway, which connects Laporte to Vine via N. Residents within the work area will still be able to access their residences.
Overland Trail fully closed to traffic Sept. 16 - Nov. 14 from Pleasant Valley to Elizabeth
S. Overland Trail will be fully closed to traffic between Pleasant Valley and W. Elizabeth St. (impacting traffic between W. Prospect Rd. and W. Elizabeth St.) from Sept. 16 - Nov. 14 while a water line beneath the roadway is replaced. All northbound and southbound traffic should use Taft Hill during the work, and follow posted detours. This is not a City construction project; this closure is the result of permitted work being completed by a third party utility.
Eastbound Horsetooth closed from Taft Hill to Seneca Oct. 9 - Nov. 22
The eastbound lanes of W. Horsetooth Rd. will be fully closed to all traffic Oct. 9 - Nov. 22 from S. Taft Hill Rd. to Seneca St. while a third party utility completes work within the roadway. Eastbound traffic should avoid this section of Horsetooth (between Taft Hill Rd. and Shields St.) during the closure and use Harmony or Drake for eastbound travel, and follow detour signs. This is not a City construction project; this closure is the result of permitted work being completed by a third party utility.
Mountain Vista fully closed between Timberline and Giddings Oct. 21-31
Mountain Vista Rd. will be fully closed to traffic between N. Timberline Rd. and Giddings Rd. from Oct. 21-31 while crews resurface the roadway. All traffic should use Turnberry, Richards Lake, and Giddings to navigate around the closure during the work.
Shields fully closed to traffic Oct. 23 - Nov. 1 from Laporte to Akin
S. Shields St. will be fully closed to traffic from Laporte Ave. to Akin Ave. (two blocks south of Mountain) from Oct. 23 - Nov. 1, while the City completes two necessary utility projects. All traffic should follow posted detours. During the closure, east-west traffic may continue to use Mountain Ave. to cross Shields.
Timberline fully closed at Vine Nov. 11-15
North Timberline Road will be closed to all traffic at East Vine Drive from Monday, Nov. 11 – Friday, Nov. 15, due to work related to the Timberline-Vine Intersection Improvement Project. Traffic may continue to use East Vine Drive during the closure.
During the closure, traffic needing to travel north or south on North Timberline Road will be routed to North Lemay Avenue via East Mulberry Street or Country Club Road; traffic may also use Interstate 25 to bypass the closure.
