Infrastructure and streets works - 100 block of Mulberry Street#

The City of Fort Collins Streets and Utilities departments will begin coordinated repair and improvement work in the vicinity of the 100 block of West Mulberry Street starting May 14, 2024.

The work will be done in two phases:

Mulberry and Mason work

  • Location: Intersection of W.. Mulberry St. and S. Mason St.
  • Construction work period: Tuesday, May 14, 2024 - Monday, June 3, 2024
  • Construction impacts: The intersection of Mulberry and Mason will be fully closed Sunday, June 2, 2024
  • Summary of work: Fort Collins Utilities is replacing a water line beneath the intersection and beneath northbound Mason St. just north of the intersection. Street resurfacing will closely follow.

Mulberry and College work

  • Location: Intersection of Mulberry St. and S. College Ave.
  • Construction work period: Monday, July 8, 2024 - Friday, July 26, 2024
  • Construction impacts: Traffic impacts from Monday, July 8, 2024 - Wednesday, July 17, 2024
    • Eastbound Mulberry will be fully closed to vehicle traffic from Mason to College
    • Westbound Mulberry will be reduced from two lanes to one lane of vehicle traffic from College to Mason
    • Southbound College Avenue will be reduced to one lane of vehicle traffic from Mulberry to Myrtle
    • Crosswalk on the west side of College Avenue will be closed to pedestrian traffic
    • Additional impacts will be announced if needed
  • Summary of work: Fort Collins Utilities is improving stormwater management at this intersection to reduce urban flooding during significant rains. Find more information about this project here.

Work Zone Information

Typical working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., however work may occur outside these times or on the weekends to expedite the project. Alternate routes are suggested to avoid the construction zones. Drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists should use caution in the work zone.
