Our Vision, Mission and Values#
At the City of Fort Collins, our vision is to foster a thriving and engaged community by emphasizing operational excellence and a culture of innovation. Guided by our mission to provide exceptional service for an exceptional community, our values of partnership, service, safety and wellbeing, sustainability, integrity, and belonging shape how we serve this vision and mission.
This commitment translates into outstanding customer service, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making, ensuring the delivery of top-tier services that our community deserves. Approximately 1,500 full-time employees, supported by up to 1,000 seasonal colleagues, work diligently to realize our mission and engage residents and visitors. Operating within a council-manager form of government, the City Manager, in collaboration with the Mayor and City Council, oversees the overall management and policy direction of City operations.
