Prairie Dog Management

Prairie Dog Management

Prairie Dogs at The Coterie Natural Area require management to maintain public safety. The population will be reduced by trapping and donating to the Black-footed Ferret Recovery Program and lethal management. A much smaller prairie dog colony will remain at The Coterie. No closures of the Spring Creek Trail will be necessary.
