Trail Conditions #

Natural Area Status & Details
Arapaho Bend

Sections of trail in the central portion of Arapaho Bend will be closed beginning the week of July 22nd, until further notice. Closures are due to construction related to the extension of the Poudre River Trail. Please respect the closures.

Bobcat Ridge

Use caution on trails. Throughout Bobcat Ridge Natural Area, there are large numbers of grasshoppers present.

Gateway

Be Snake Awake! Rattlesnakes are more prevalent at Gateway Natural Area this year than in years past. They are important members of the natural community as they help keep rodent and other small animal populations under control. Rattlesnakes are not aggressive but will strike to defend themselves if disturbed. Please give them distance and respect and be alert where you place your hands and feet.

Soapstone Prairie

Plover Trail closed April 1, 2024 - March 1, 2025. This closure occurs annually from April - July to minimize impact to nesting birds and will be extended this year due to construction and trail re-alignment.

All other trails are open! Enjoy your natural areas!
