Zero Carbon Construction Code#

Zero Carbon Construction Code is the development and implementation of a building code that targets energy use and carbon reduction for all new construction in Fort Collins.
This code is in alignment with Big Move 6 in Our Climate Future. Learn more about Our Climate Future.
Codes will be adopted with energy reduction milestones every 3 years, with 2030 as the target code year for achieving zero carbon emissions on all new construction in Fort Collins.

Building Industry Scholarship Now Available!
The City of Fort Collins is now offering scholarships to further educate and expand local industry workforce on energy efficiency, high performance building, and zero energy building. Scholarships are also available to encourage entry into building industry workforce, with an emphasis on building energy efficiency and electrification technology.
Individuals can apply for up to $1,200. Businesses and organizations can get up to $2,500 annually.
Each application is specific to one course. If you want to apply for a scholarship for multiple courses, you will need to submit a separate application for each one.
