Go Renewable#
From purchasing clean, renewable energy to generating electricity on-site, Fort Collins Utilities gives our customers options to be more sustainable.
Update To Commercial Solar Power Purchase Agreements
Fort Collins Utilities now welcomes solar power purchase agreements (PPA) between third-party owners and commercial customers as a delivery model for net metered projects. This approach is enabled by recent policy changes between Fort Collins Utilities and Platte River Power Authority for solar projects designed to offset the electricity use of the customer.
Projects submitted with this approach remain eligible for available Fort Collins Utilities incentives and must follow existing interconnection and permitting requirements. Solar projects with storage may also be proposed for third-party ownership with electricity delivery via a PPA.
