Building Energy and Water Scoring Resources#

Fort Collins Utilities offers resources and services to support building owners required to report building benchmarking information to the City, including energy and water consumption data access, ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® technical support, and incentive and rebates for building owners interested in improving their buildings’ score.   • Utilities now offers a direct feed of whole-building energy usage data into ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. After getting set up, Fort Collins will update your water and electric data on a monthly basis to comply with the City’s benchmarking ordinance. Learn how it works at our MyData training.

Determine your electric, natural gas and water providers in order to request your building’s use data. After uploading your energy and water data, remember to use the "data quality checker" tool in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. This will let you know if there is anything in your data that might need a closer look.
