Frequently Asked Questions#

Q: How does my donation get spent?

A: Every dollar you donate to Utilities Payment Assistance Fund is spent assisting customers who need help paying their bill. Now your donation goes even further: Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC) is currently matching your donation dollar for dollar. EOC also pays program administration fees.

Q: Who pays the transaction fee when I donate online?

A: Utilities is committed to maintaining convenient ways for you to make a donation. You can donate online, on the phone, in the mail or in person. If you choose to donate online, Utilities will pay the transaction fees so that 100% of your donation will go towards helping those in need.

Q: Is my donation tax deductible?

A: Yes! At the beginning of each year you will receive a letter from our Executive Director to thank you for your contribution. The letter will indicate the donation amount along with our tax ID number for your records. This means you can donate several times throughout the year or establish a recurring payment and not worry about saving receipts. We’ve got you covered.
