Utilities Emergency Fund#
Are you behind on your utility bill?
If you are behind on your Fort Collins Utilities bill, you may be eligible for financial assistance. The Utilities Emergency Fund directly supports our customers in need by providing assistance once per calendar year (Jan. 1 – Dec. 31) towards a past-due Utilities bill.
- Funds are limited, and applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Approved funds will be applied directly to the past-due customer’s account as a bill credit.
- Funding will not exceed $500.
For assistance completing the online application, call 970-212-2900 during normal business hours (V/TDD 711). Aids and services are available for persons with disabilities.
Eligibility#
Customers must:
- Be a Utilities account holder or co-applicant.
- One application per account number.
- Have an active Utilities account.
- Have a past-due balance on their account.
Utilities reserves the right to make the final determination on eligibility and approved amount of assistance per application.
Ineligible expenses include:
- Charges for stormwater- or wastewater-only accounts
- Unbilled, future charges
Required Information#
You'll need to provide the following information in order to complete the application:
- Name of account holder
- Your contact information
- Account number (found on your bill or by calling 970-212-2900)
- Service address
