FORT COLLINS, Colo. – A full roadway closure on Shields St between Mountain Ave and Akin Ave will begin October 23rd. Detour routes around the closure will be posted.  Access for residents will be maintained but may be limited at times. Pedestrian access in the area will be maintained.

Fort Collins Utilities and its general contractor, WW Clyde, will be conducting work between the hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. This portion of the project has an anticipated completion date of November 1st (weather permitting). This work is part of the Oak St Water System Improvement Project that first began replacing water infrastructure along the Oak St corridor back in August.  Replacement of the old water mains is being completed ahead of the Oak Street Stormwater Improvement Project.
