Light-emitting diode (LED) technology is the next step in lighting efficiency. Fort Collins Utilities and Platte River Power Authority are partnering with local retailers to bring you ENERGY STAR® qualified specialty LEDs at discounted prices.
LED products are designed to have an even longer life than CFL products. LEDs are commonly being used for traffic lights, decorative light strings, flashlights and nightlights and are increasingly being used in households.
LED bulbs and fixtures have recently become more widely available and affordable for residential and business lighting needs. It's important to note these products represent an emerging technology and come in a wide range of quality. Some products may not deliver the performance you expect.
