Toilet Recycling#
Fort Collins Utilities offers water customers rebates when they purchase high-efficiency toilets and recycle the old one.
A recycling program for porcelain toilets and urinals is offered through a partnership between the City of Fort Collins Utilities and Natural Resources and Streets department. The crushed porcelain from toilets is combined into an aggregate and used as road base.
Things to Know Before You Recycle#
- All metal and plastic parts must be removed, otherwise the toilets will not be accepted.
- Make sure to get a voucher at the recycling location. You will submit that along with your rebate application.
- If you are a commercial customer with more than five toilets, please call the recycling facility ahead of time to check capacity and arrange a high-volume drop off.
