Horsetooth Reservoir Quality Modeling#
Horsetooth Reservoir
Fort Collins Utilities is collaborating with Northern Water, the City of Greeley and the Tri-Districts on a project to develop a hydrodynamic water quality model of Horsetooth Reservoir.
The model will be used to assess various water quality issues including nutrients, algae, dissolved oxygen, thermal stratification, and the influence of Hansen Feeder Canal interflow on the complex flow patterns within the reservoir.

Using power strips to turn off selected appliances when not in use helps reduce energy use.
Watering every third day helps the grass develop deeper roots and use moisture deep in the ground.
After a rain, skipping watering until the grass dries will save not only water, but also money.
